BrownAfter the application on 31st March, 1939, of a sum of £3,000,000 to the reduction of the debt of the Unemployment Fund in accordance with the recommendation of the Unemployment Insurance Statutory Committee, the balance of the fund at 1st April, 1939, was about £43,285,000, including investments at cost.
