HC Deb 05 April 1939 vol 345 c2808W
Mr. Parker

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty whether the Admiralty will introduce new regulations whereby pension rights will begin from the time a recruit enters the Navy, and not from the age of 18 as at present, observing that such regulations are to be introduced for the Army; and that naval recruits ought to be on the same footing in this respect as Army recruits?

Mr. Shakespeare

I will keep in touch with my right hon. Friend if any changes are made in Army practice and consider their effect on Naval Regulations.
