§ Mr. Cassellsasked the Home Secretary whether he is aware that no compensation is payable under the Workmen's Compensation Acts in respect of disablement associable with heart affection following prolonged strain in employment; and is he prepared to cause such disablement in future to be treated as due to industrial disease?
§ Mr. LloydMy right hon. Friend is advised that he could not properly schedule as an industrial disease under Section 43 of the Act such an indefinite condition as is mentioned in the question. Whether the scope of the Act should be widened in relation to non-accidental injuries would be a question for the Royal Commission.
