Southbyasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of his reply to a question by the hon. and gallant Member for Epsom on 17th February that the quinquennial re-valuation for local taxation was to be postponed for two years, he is aware that some local authorities 1965W are now proceeding with re-valuation of properties as if no postponement had been announced; and, further, is he urging local authorities to have their new lists completed by next year?
§ Mr. ElliotThe local authorities referred to by my hon. and gallant Friend are no doubt continuing to prepare provisional valuation lists for the reasons given in a circular issued by my predecessor in March, a copy of which I will send him.
