Mellorasked the Lord Privy Seal whether he has considered a communication from the Warwickshire County Council concerning the plan contained in Appendix C of the Report of the Evacuation Committee involving the evacuation of a portion of the refugees from Birmingham into Warwickshire; and whether, in view of the high density of population in that part of the county lying to the north of a line running through Henley-in-Arden, Kenilworth and Rugby, he will consider revision of the plan so as to exclude such northern part of the county from the billeting area?

AndersonThis communication reached me on Friday of last week, and I have arranged for the proposals put forward to be considered by the Minister of Health who, as I have already explained to the House, has undertaken the responsibility for working out, in consultation with me, the detailed plans for the evacuation of the civilian population in time of war.
