§ Mr. Rhys Daviesasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that many persons who joined the Spanish Government forces are now returning disabled and claiming benefits from the funds of approved societies; and, in view of the fact that such funds were never intended to carry those additional liabilities, he will take steps to secure compensation from the Spanish authorities for these disabled men?
§ Mr. ElliotAs regards the first part of the question perhaps the hon. Member will let me have details of any case of which he has knowledge. As regards the second part the question of any approach to the Spanish Government is a matter which falls within the province of the Foreign Office.
