HC Deb 14 November 1938 vol 341 c514W
Mr. Hammersley

asked the Secretary of State for War whether all the outstanding requirements of the Army Council have received Treasury sanction?

Sir V. Warrender

Decisions in regard to all important measures requisite for the defence of the country rest with the Cabinet. The various Departments concerned, for instance, the Treasury and the War Office, then take the necessary steps to give effect to such decisions.
