§ Mr. R. Gibsonasked the Home Secretary whether the regulations to be issued by the Home Office under the new Factory Act will apply directly to Scotland, or whether a revised issue will be made from the Scottish Office applicable to Scotland; when the regulations will be available for Scotland; and if he has any statement to make on the subject?
§ Sir S. Hoare:Regulations under the Factory Acts are made by the Home Secretary for all parts of Great Britain, and are not separately issued from the Scottish Office. As regards the latter part of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to my reply to the hon. Member for the Clayton Division (Mr. Jagger) on Thursday last. I have since approved the issue of further draft Regulations in addition to those previously mentioned.
