§ Mr. Lyonsasked the Minister of Transport whether any illumination, or improved illumination, has yet been undertaken by virtue of the provisions of Section 6 (4) of the Trunk Roads Act, 1936; and whether he will specify the authorities and areas in respect of which he has received proposals in the matter?
§ Mr. Burgin:The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. In reply to the second part, I have received proposals in some detail for new or improved lighting of trunk roads in Nuneaton, Romford and Staines. I have also received a number of preliminary inquiries elsewhere.
