asked the First Lord of the Admiralty when the supplementary Navy Estimate for the 1938 new construction programme is to be introduced and the reasons for the delay?

Colonel Llewellin:

The Supplementary Estimate, in which the House will be asked to approve the necessary provision for commencing the new shipbuilding programme for 1938, will be presented before the Whitsun Recess.

I am not aware of any grounds for the suggestion that there has been delay in presenting this Estimate.
