§ Mr. Leckieasked the Secretary of State for War whether he has considered the representations as to the inadequacy of the accommodation provided at Walsall drill hall for the 5th Battalion (Territorials) of the South Staffordshire Regiment; 598W whether he is aware that the training of the battalion is being interfered with on that account; and whether he will take immediate steps to have the premises enlarged and modernised or replaced by more suitable premises?
§ Mr. Hore-Belisha:I am advised that enlargement of this headquarters is not practicable. The inconvenience that has been felt arises from the presence of two vehicles in the drill hall, and the Territorial Association concerned has been authorised to put forward proposals, on lines which have been agreed to by my Department, in order to improve the situation.
