HC Deb 09 May 1938 vol 335 cc1246-7W
Mr. Edwards

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he will state the various prices paid for the different sizes of envelopes supplied to the Library of the House of Commons for the use of Members; and the names of the company or companies which supply them?

Lieut.-Colonel Colville:

The envelopes supplied to the Library of the House of Commons for the use of Members are obtained by His Majesty's Stationery Office under a contract which is at present held by Messrs. J. Dickinson and Company, Limited. In accordance with the long-standing practice that contract prices are regarded as confidential, I regret that I do not feel able to disclose the prices paid.
