HC Deb 04 May 1938 vol 335 c893W
Sir W. Smiles

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air whether the aerodrome at Renfrew is to be finally closed; and, if so, what alternative aerodrome in Scotland will be available for the cross-Channel air-traffic?

Lieut.-Colonel Muirhead:

As regards the first part of the question, I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the reply I gave yesterday to a question by the hon. Member for Govan (Mr. Maclean). If, however, the decision to close the Renfrew airport is maintained, the aerodrome at Abbotsinch can be made available for civil air services.
