HC Deb 04 May 1938 vol 335 cc892-3W
Mr. Lewis

asked the Minister of Transport how soon he expects to obtain from the Transport Advisory Council a report on the question of the movements of pedestrian traffic in the roadways?

Mr. Burgin:

A great deal of work has already been done on the consideration of the problems arising out of the movements of pedestrian traffic in the roadways. As my hon. Friend will realise, there are very difficult questions involved in this matter which might well require legislative action. In these circumstances, f should wish to await the result of the deliberations of the Select Committee now sitting in another place.
