HoareThe scheme which has been worked out by the Metropolitan Water Board is mainly directed to the protection of pumping apparatus and to improvised measures for replacing damaged apparatus. My formal approval of the scheme would only be needed in connection with any grant towards the work. The condition and purpose of such a grant are under examination.
