§ Lieut.-Colonel MuirheadThe number of privately-owned aircraft in the United Kingdom on the 31st December, 1937, that is to say, civil aircraft exclusive of those used for transport, training, club, joy-riding and taxi-work, was 672. It is regretted that no corresponding figures are available for any other European country.
