§ Mr. W. S. MorrisonNo information is available to enable me to estimate the wastage of perishable produce. For some years it has been the policy of the Government to encourage the development of the fruit and vegetable canning industry in Great Britain, and there has been a substantial increase in home production, particularly of canned vegetables in recent years.
