§ Lieut.-Colonel LlewellinAt present, the discharge of trained men cannot be approved except where there are very strong compassionate grounds or other circumstances of a quite exceptional nature. Instances vary so widely that it is impracticable to state what compassionate grounds would be regarded as justifying discharge, but each application is examined very fully on its merits.
