§ Lieut.-Colonel MuirheadAs regards the first part of the question, the only appointment of a Government director made to the board of British Airways was that of Lord Monsell, whose appointment took effect from 13th December last. As regards the last part of the question, the remuneration of the Government director is not payable from public funds but is included in the sum of £1,200 annually allocated by the company for the remuneration of the board of directors as a whole.
