HC Deb 09 March 1938 vol 332 cc1908-9W
Mr. H. G. Williams

asked the Minister of Transport whether, having regard to the extended validity period of three years for a road service licence which has been allowed for an omnibus and the extended period of five years which has been allowed for a goods vehicle licence for a public carrier, he is prepared to extend the validity period of a road service licence for a passenger express carriage which is now valid for only one year?

Mr. Burgin

Before extending the validity of express carriage road service licences I should wish to have rather longer experience of the working of the regulation, less than a year old, which extended stage carriage licences to three years.
