§ Mr. ElliotThe list, which I understand is complete, gives 214 collieries where there are burning pit-heaps. Five inspectors are engaged in the investigation. This, it is anticipated, will take two years to complete. Reports on the investigation will be included in the annual reports of the chief alkali inspector. The question whether any further publication is desirable will be considered when the investigation has been completed.
