Mr. M. MacDonaldAccording to my latest information, which referred to 1936, the average monthly wage of native gold miners in Kenya was then 10s. and of Government labourers in Nyasaland 8s. 6d. The average monthly wage of labourers in Northern Rhodesia tobacco plantations is about 7s. 6d.
