Mr. M. MacDonaldFollowing are the statistics of casualties in Palestine from the 1st December, 1937, to 31st May, 1938:
Killed. Wounded. British: (a) Military 8 21 (b) Police 3 7 (c) Civilians 1 1 Arabs: (a) Police, Supernumeraries and Watchmen 19 24 (b) Civilians 71 95 Jews: (a) Police and Supernumeraries 9 17 (b) Civilians 21 84 In addition to the Arab civilians mentioned above, 67 Arab terrorists are known to have been killed in encounters with military and police, and approximately 100 more are believed to have been killed.
