Information as to the number of these houses which fall within the several ranges of capital value specified in the question is not available in my Department, but in the series of half-yearly Stationery Office publications entitled "Housing, House Production, Slum Clearance, etc." first issued in 1934, particulars are given of the numbers of houses within certain ranges of rateable values provided by private enterprise 2265W without State assistance during each half-year from 1st October, 1933, to 30th September, 1937.
