§ Mr. Lennox-BoydVacancies for women and boys as lavatory attendants notified by contractors have been filled by the Employment Exchange at the exhibition. The weekly wage offered by the contractors was 17s. 6d. and the hours of work were stated to be from 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. or from 4.30 p.m. to 11 p.m. The women applicants were informed by the Exchange of the rate of wages and hours of work. The boys were informed only of the rate of wages as there was uncertainty at the time as to the hours to be worked.
