SimonThe Commissioners of Customs and Excise took proceedings in the High Court to establish that Entertainments Duty was payable in respect of entertainments at the London Casino, as they were bound to do since the liability which they were advised existed was disputed. Judgment having been given for 1821W the Crown, it was the duty of the Commissioners to collect the arrears which had accrued since the date when liability commenced.
