§ Sir J. SimonThe following list contains particulars of subsidies payable since 1st October, 1931, from public funds to industries and branches of industry in the United Kingdom. The figures include the estimated expenditure during the current year.
As regards the Crown Colonies, no subsidies to industries have been paid except in so far as assistance has been afforded through the Colonial Development Fund. Particulars of the payments out of the Fund will be found in the Annual Reports of the Committee, published as Command Papers.
