§ Mr. E. BrownI dealt with this matter in the reply which I gave to the hon. Member on 12th May. I then stated618W that claims to benefit by cotton weavers employed upon less than the full number of looms were dealt with in the light of the special circumstances of each particular case in accordance with the law as interpreted by the umpire. As regards the question whether the law should be altered, I am, as I promised, giving the matter attention.
