§ Major Procterasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what was the total value of Palestine exports and imports for the year 1937; and whether these figures have been exceeded in any previous year?
§ Mr. Ormsby-GoreThe figures at present available cover only the first 11 months of the year 1937. In round numbers exports during those 11 months amounted to £5,000,000 and imports to rather more than £14,500,000. It does not seem probable that the total value of imports for 1937 will be so high as in 1935, when the figure was £17,900,000.
