HC Deb 21 February 1938 vol 332 c40W
Mr. Rhys Davies

asked the Minister of Health how many local authorities employ an engineer for water purposes only, covering a population of 200,000 and over; and whether, in view of the findings of the Croydon Typhoid Report, he will consider insisting that in all such cases the person responsible for the water supply shall be employed solely for that purpose?

Sir K. Wood

According to my information all such authorities, other than the Croydon Corporation, have a water engineer who is employed solely for the purpose of supervising their water supply undertaking.
