§ Mr. BurginI am informed by the London Passenger Transport Board that the works at present being carried out at Aldgate East station are difficult and intricate and that it is unlikely that they will be completed before the summer of 1939. Shortly after that date there will be an improvement of the service on the Barking and Upminster line.
