§ Mr. E. Smithasked the Minister of Transport whether he will take action with a view to securing, in future, the construction of railway coal-trucks with a greater capacity, and an increase in trucks available?
§ Mr. BurginI have no powers to require the Railway Companies or private owners to provide a greater number of railway wagons. The average capacity of wagons used for the conveyance of coal has increased appreciably in recent years and as at present advised I see no necessity for action on my part.
