Mr. Creech Jonesasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has given further consideration to the conditions of eligibility for the franchise for local councils as set out in the second schedule of the Order by the High Commissioner in Palestine under Section 2 of the Local Council Ordinance published in May, 1937; and whether any revision of qualification has been agreed to?
§ Mr. Ormsby-GoreI have not received any information on this subject subsequent to that contained in the report which I communicated to the hon. Member in August last. I will, however, ask the High Commissioner whether there have been any further developments.
