Mr. StanleyThe total imports of iron ore and concentrates (excluding chrome iron ore and pyrites) into the United Kingdom consigned from Spain during the three months ended December, 1937, amounted to 316,000 tons, valued at £445,000; the imports during the corresponding period of 1936 were 251,000 tons, valued at £223,000. I cannot say what part of these imports was from the area referred to in the question.
