HC Deb 12 December 1938 vol 342 c1638W
Sir J. Lamb

asked the Minister of Transport whether his attention has been called to the existing danger at the London Midland and Scottish Railway station at Stone, Staffordshire, where the only access from the booking office to the platforms for passengers travelling North or South is by way of open crossings with no protection from passing trains; and whether he will have inquiries made with a view to the provision of an adequate footbridge or other protection for the public?

Mr. Burgin

The London Midland and Scottish Railway Company inform me that they are giving further consideration to the question of providing a footbridge or other protection at Stone station. I will let my hon. Friend know, the result as soon as possible.
