§ Mr. ElliotI understand that my hon. and gallant Friend is referring to the case where public business may be impeded by reason of the disability for voting imposed on members of a local authority financially interested in a contract or other matter. I would remind him that I have power to remove this disability, in proper circumstances, on application by the authority. In the circumstances I do not consider that any special inquiry is called for.
