§ Mr. BurginHighway authorities are empowered to require the removal of any object which so closely resembles a traffic sign that it might reasonably be taken for such a sign. But neither the local authorities nor I have any general power to prohibit the use of illuminated advertisements on the grounds that they may cause danger at night, and I would add that I have not hitherto received any evidence that such signs are an appreciable cause of accidents.
