§ Mr. E. BrownThe Post Office requirements for men have not yet been notified to the Employment Exchange. Last year 162 men were engaged as porters and sorters and it is anticipated that similar opportunities for employment will arise this year. No other additional Christmas seasonal work was available last year, and it is not anticipated that there will be any change in the position this year. No women were engaged for seasonal Post Office work last year, but a number624W of women were employed as shop assistants and hotel domestic workers during the Christmas period. It is anticipated that somewhat similar opportunities may occur this year.
