asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will state the number of motor cars and commercial vehicles imported during each of the last three months from Germany and the United States of America, respectively; and also give comparative figures for the first quarter for the last four years?

pursuant to his reply (OFFICIAL REPORT, 13th April, 1938; col. 1119, Vol. 334, No. 95) supplied the following statement:

The following table shows the number of motor cars (private and commercial) imported into the United Kingdom and consigned from Germany and the United States, respectively, as registered during the undermentioned period.
