HC Deb 30 November 1937 vol 329 c1902W
Mr. Whiteley

asked the Secretary of State for War what has been the result of the arbitration case in connection with the compulsory purchase of 57 acres of the Shaw Hill Estate, Chorley, for the purposes of the Euxton munition factory; what was the price awarded; and what was previously the rateable value of the land?

Mr. Hore-Belisha

The sum awarded by the arbitrator was £7,089. As regards the last part of the question, I have no information.
