§ Lieut.-Colonel MuirheadIn so far as commercial aviation in this country is concerned no direct financial assistance is given and there is no present intention of departing from this. In accordance with the Maybury Committee's recommendations, assistance is being given in the provision of radio facilities and an air traffic control organisation. The development of Imperial and International Air Communications continuously engages the attention of His Majesty's Government and Parliament will be asked as and when necessary to provide, in addition to ground and other services, money for the improvement and extension of British civil aviation overseas, within the limit prescribed by the Air Navigation Act of last year.
