The total number of established women civil servants who resigned on marriage during the

Product Duty in force. Duty recommended by the Committee.
1. Milk condensed, whole, being milk which is chargeable with duty under Section 1 of the Ottawa Agreements Act, 1932. Not sweetened 6s. per cwt. 12s. 6d. per cwt.*
Sweetened or slightly sweetened* 5s. per cwt.
2. Milk powder and other preserved milk excluding condensed milk, being goods which are chargeable with duty under Section 1 of the Ottawa Agreements Act, 1932. 6s. per cwt.* £1 8s. per cwt.*
3. Milk, condensed, separated or skimmed 10 per cent. ad valorem or sugar duty, whichever is the greater. 9s. 4d. per cwt.*
4. Buttermilk powder and whey powder 10 per cent. ad valorem £1 8s per cwt.*.
* In addition to the sugar duty, if any. This duty is chargeable at the rate of 11s. 8d. per cwt. on the quantity of sugar contained in the article.

financial year ended 31st March, 1937, was 2,745. Of this number 2,394 were eligible for and received marriage gratuities, which totalled £246,287.
