Mr. Davidsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has considered a circular or letter, issued by the Master Painters' Association, sent to him by the honourable Member for Maryhill, indicating that the building and allied industries have a separate committee to assist the Glasgow progressive party during municipal elections; and whether he will inquire into the legality of this expenditure by this committee under the law relating to corrupt practices?
