asked the hon. Member for Central Leeds, as representing the Ecclesiastical Commissioners, the amount paid in royalties from coal and other minerals to the Ecclesiastical Commissioners in Durham County each year since 1926?

The complete figures range from £220,800 to £360,500.

The gross rents, royalties, etc., received by the Ecclesiastical Commissioners from their estates in the County of Durham in respect of all minerals (including mineral wayleaves) during the ten years to 31st March, 1936 (the accounts being made up to each 31st March and no later figures being available) were as under:
