§ Mr. ElliotI am informed that the service conditions of the three classes of lamplighters in the employment of the corporation are as follows:
Stairlighters have a working week of 40 hours, and are paid 50s. per week in addition to being provided with uniform clothing.
Part-time stairlighters have a 28-hour week and are paid 40s. 2d. per week, no uniform being provided.
Streetlighters have a 42-hour week and are paid 55s. per week for the first year, and 56s. per week thereafter, in addition to being provided with uniform.
