§ Viscount CranborneThe status of the International Settlement at Shanghai is governed by the Land Regulations, which have not been altered as a result of the Sino-Japanese hostilities. With the exception of certain isolated incidents of which the House is already aware, there has been no interference with the forces or representatives of Foreign Powers.
