Mr. LindsayMy Noble Friend has no reason to be dissatisfied with the rate of progress. The amount of capital expenditure out of loans by local education authorities which has been approved by the Board since the passing of the Education Act, 1936, was £4,500,000 during the period 1st August, 1936, to 31st March, 1937, and 5,300,000 during the period 1st April, 1937, to date.
