HC Deb 11 November 1937 vol 328 cc1889-90W
Captain A. Evans

asked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been called to the hardships of large families which, dispossessed owing to the relief of overcrowding, find a disinclination on the part of some councils to give them preferential housing accommodation in view of the number of children; and whether he will make representations to the councils concerned to treat these cases differently?

Sir K. Wood

My attention has not been drawn to any cases of the kind to which my hon. and gallant Friend refers; but if he has any particular cases in mind, I shall be glad to look into them.
