Captain A. Evansasked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been called to the hardships of large families which, dispossessed owing to the relief of overcrowding, find a disinclination on the 1890W part of some councils to give them preferential housing accommodation in view of the number of children; and whether he will make representations to the councils concerned to treat these cases differently?
§ Sir K. WoodMy attention has not been drawn to any cases of the kind to which my hon. and gallant Friend refers; but if he has any particular cases in mind, I shall be glad to look into them.
