HC Deb 11 November 1937 vol 328 c1863W
Mr. C. Wilson

asked the Attorney General the circumstances under which it was decided that no criminal proceedings could be taken against a police officer to whom money had been passed by Henry Isaac Rothfield, who has since been convicted?

The Attorney-General

Criminal proceedings against the Police Officer concerned were not undertaken because the available evidence did not justify them. I should like to add that the officer in question is no longer a member of the Police Force.
