HC Deb 04 November 1937 vol 328 cc1152-3W
Captain P. Macdonald

asked the First Commissioner of Works whether, with a view to increasing the number of officers who take advantage of the facilities provided by the convalescent home at Osborne and to reducing the present loss on its operation, he will consider arranging for its facilities to he made available to Territorial officers as well as Regular officers of the various services?

Sir P. Sassoon

Territorial officers, as well as officers of the Reserves of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Regular Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Indian Navy and Indian Army are already eligible for admission to the King Edward VII Convalescent Home for Officers at Osborne. Steps have recently been taken to bring the facilities available more prominently to the notice of the classes of officer referred to.
